The Additive Manufacturing Lab - Material Extrusion is a platform primarily dedicated to the shaping of ceramic materials, but also other materials such as polymers, metals and composites, via extrusion processes. Extrusion involves passing a material with plastic properties, at ambient or controlled temperature, through a nozzle to form a bead that can be used in the 3D additive process to construct an object based on a digital design (CAD-CAM).
